Hi,

I found many Linux computers thought network:/ but I don't know how can I access any one!
Could you please help me to find any reference to learn how to use network:/ (I looked into Dolphin's docs but it didn't help me out) ? I successfully accessed any computer but I don't know to access their shared folders or share my folders with them.

PS
Usually I use smb:/ to connect to any Linux computer through LAN because I can easily share any folder by "Share" tab in folder properties.

If the other computers you have found via dolphin give access to samba shares and you have the rights to read/write then you should be able to bookmark them.

What do you see when you go to Network / Samba Shares?

Please note that the network:/ protocol is simply listing those services it enumerates via Zeroconf. These services are usually advertised by Avahi on modern linux distributions. Unfortunately the "Udisks server" and "Workstation manager" entries don't have any applications available which can interface with them (at least to my knowledge).

However, the web server entry should work, and if you configure Avahi to advertise Samba (smb) support, then those should become browsable through network:/ as well.

Do you mean I can't share any kind of folders with my friends over the network without samba?

PS
Don't forget that my friends computers have Linux installed (as I know samaba enhanced for conneting with Windows networks).

Correct, although Samba could be replaced with other forms of file sharing such as NFS, FTP or AFP.
Samba is more often used in these instances due to compatibility with Windows systems and the support for credentials however.
