what happened to the second 4.7 beta? It is already 4 days late! Anybody knows something?

It has been delayed, like Beta 1 was. There are some issues related to the git migration and how, exactly, the release will be packaged that are still being worked out.

delayed to when? Can you please point me to the delay announcement? I didn't find anything in the release-team mailing list.

There isn't an announcement that it is delayed, but the fact that it wasn't out when the schedule said it would be out by definition means it was delayed :) There is no official announcement as to when it is coming out, but you can see the discussion regarding what the issues are here:

now you are 2 releases behind 4.6.90/4.7 rc1 was supposed to be out on June 22, 2011
