Answer day!
A new event held by the KDE Community Forums is starting today, at midnight UTC: the "Answer Day". Everyone is encouraged to participate.
Why an Answer Day?
Users in the forums ask many questions each day. A good part of them are answered very rapidly, but in some cases either the question itself is overlooked or no one of the participating people knows a good answer.
What can be done to help those users? Using the link "View unanswered posts" in the panel, or this one (Notice: the link has been shortened to permit posting) if you want to search only in KDE Software, unanswered posts can be viewed, and then everyone is encouraged to seek and find questions that can be answered.
Solving problems
That's not all: as you may already know, topics with an answer can be marked as solved. Unfortunately some of them aren't marked as such. In this case, you can report solved topics using the report button
and selecting "The reported post does not fit into any other category, please use the further information field." and optionally writing a description there.
It should be clear that the topic is solved, for example if the poster is thanking for the answer or if you know that the solution is correct. Once you do that, the staff will look at the post and act accordingly.
Duration
The event will last exactly 24 hours, and depending on the success, similar events will be held in the future.
We hope that you will have fun during Answer Day.
