Hi all,

Using Kubuntu 12.10 with Kde 4.9.3, I configured my desktop to 9 desktops and I use extensively the icon-only task manager, on which I pined down all my favorite apps.

For a few days, the icon-only task manager only highlight the focused app from the current desktop ; when I switch desktop, I can see the task manager updating to show the next focused app.
By default, I don't see any indicator of which apps has already been launched or not (except the "+" sign if multiple windows exists for a given app). I can only see that an app has been launched when I hover my mouse on its icon (which gets a bit more highlighted).

Is it still possible to see in one glance to the task manager which apps has been launched ?

Please double check that all three filters are disabled in the applet settings > Behaviour. It shows as disabled in your screenshot, but it may be advisable to confirm - as it is the only thing I can think of which would cause this behaviour.

I triple checked, and none of the checkbox are indeed checked.
I'm a bit puzzled by this bug, since it "just stopped to work" like before.
I guess I noticed the problem since 4.9.3.

This would appear to be a regression - please file a bug report at bugs.kde.org.
