Good suggestion, I'll play with it these days.

I have noticed that when I choose Folder view for Desktop type it dosen't change the activity I'm on but rather adds a new Folder view activity.
This can be seen in my screencast.
The question is: Is this a feature or a bug??

I discovered the following behavior:
  1. Have two activities
  2. Zoom out
  3. Click on the preferences icon of the other activity
  4. Change type to Folder View
I did not get a new activity, but the activity moved below the first one instead being right beside it.

I thought, this has something to do with the renaming of the activity.
I didn't discover such a behavior and have never renamed it.

But the question remains, feature or bug?

You may want to report it as bug, stating to close it if it's an intended feature.

Will do!
Also I can't remove newly added activities. And I tried everything.
Zoom out and remove it (sometimes work and sometimes not, I always take care that I'm not trying to remove the activity that I zoom out of.)
editing plasmarc dosen't work anymore...
The only way to remove added activities is to quit plasma and delete plasmarc and plasma-aplletsrc in .KDE(4)/share/config.

Which version do you use? KDE 4.2 beta 2 or current trunk. If it is possible you should check it also with trunk.

I use KDE4.2beta2 provided by Kubuntu...
And about trunk I did thought about trying it, but I'm not sure if I'm "leet" enough to compile it (at least in such a way that it would be usable)...
But the KDE-Tech base does provide in-depth instructions, so I just might try it when I'll have time...

If you use Kubuntu, you may want to try Project Neon and its kde-nightly snapshots. They install to another place in the file system and use different settings, so you won't kill your own KDE settings.

As at least 2/3 screencasts are complete, what are your current thoughts?
