Hm, strange, I have come across Sidux at FrOSCamp in Zürich on Spetember 17 which was after the announce of the fork, so I guess it still exists.

Does a seperate entry for aptosid need to be created rather than the renaming of Sidux?

I would say so, at least for now, since many people haven't changed (yet?).

aptosid isn't a fork of sidux. The trademark sidux is owned by sidux e.V. so the distribution had to choose another name.

Hi,
no need for a separate sidux stanza.
sidux ceased to exist as a distribution.
aptosid took its place with the same dev team and the same product.

This is totally wrong as that list does not tell what OS is in use but what distribution is in use.
Almost everyone use Linux operating system but release is the question here. That means is the used Linux OS release 2.6.33 or 2.6.36 and so on.
You can only find out what your OS name and release is with uname -r command

The LSB tells what LSB release is in use and for that the command is lsb_release

LSB does not tell anything about Linux operating system.
People really should not mistake Linux operating system (=Linux kernel) and distribution / software system or LSB.

For how many different OS the kde platform (and so on KDE SC) is ported? Linux, FreeBSD, HURD and NT?
How many really use KDE SC with any other OS than Linux? I can think few use with with FreeBSD but none with HURD.
Do we really care what OS and what OS release people use? Like "I have 2.6.33 and you have 2.6.38"?

So what just need to do, is swap the "OS" to "Distribution" and everything is fine so people can see that they have distribution X. But it would be unfair for other than Linux OS users like towards BSD users...

And exactly that is important as distros do things differently in terms of directory names (.kde vs .kde4 for example), packaging, boot procedure, etc. The kernel itself has less to do with KDE than any of the above.

Yes, it is important to tell what distribution is as then wiser users can easily notice what the difference is from mainstream versions.

The icon has now been changed, although I had to scale it down to 16x16 to match the rest of them.
