Tip: How to turn off the startup and shutdown sounds? KDE 4.x

Since this has been asked at least couple of times :

System settings -> [General tab] Notifications -> System notifications -> [Applications tab] Event source: and choose "KDE System Notifications" from the list. Configuration is available where you can modify not only Logout and Login notifications but handful of others.

Thanks for the tip, while I'm looking at these settings, I'd might as well disables all KDE sounds, since 90% of the time I don't have my sound driver enabled.

I really miss "Turn off all sounds" from KDE3; I spent a quarter of an hour this morning turning off every single sound individually.

Try System Settings > Notifications > System Notifications > Player Settings > No audio output
