Plasma not reply

Fri Nov 14, 2008 7:32 pm
Hi!
I have upgraded my openSUSE 11.0 with KDE 4.1.2 to KDE 4.1.3. The icon of loading program overwrite icons of already loaded programs (see screenshot: http://imagebin.org/31206) after that plasma not reply and uses 70-75% of CPU. Other programs (firefox, valknut and etc) works fine. How to fix it?
Videocard: GF 8800GT, nvidia driver 177.80.

uname -a
Linux mysuse 2.6.25.18-0.2-pae #1 SMP 2008-10-21 16:30:26 +0200 i686 athlon i386 GNU/Linux

P.S. Sorry for my English

Try to backup your plasma-appletsrc and plasmarc in your KDE home dir and see if it still resists.

I'm thinking it has to do which qt4 repo you're using

I'm a thinking you are NOT using http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Qt/ and if you switch to it your issue will disappear - had same problem and this solved it

OpenSuse Leap 42.1 x64, Plasma 5.x

Make sure the Qt repository is enabled and up to date (refresh it), and give it a high priority ( eg: 10 ) than the updates repository ( which is 20 by default, the lower the number the higher the priority ). This will ensure that YaST uses it. Then use software management to completely update to the repository ( set filter to repositories, select Qt repo, then select the package menu > all in this list > update if newer version available )

No problem. If this thread is solved, could you please add [SOLVED] to the begining of the subject. Thanks.
