I was wondering which Linux distro and desktop manager do you recommend for rock solid stability in Kdenlive video editing. I'm really fed up with app crashes and losing unsaved data. Right now I'm working under Windows 10 and using Adobe CC suite. But the cost is too much for such an unstable platform.

I don't know much about video editing software. but regarding distributions I would strongly advice opensuse .
furthermore, you can try it easyly and make your custom system using susestudio.
from my latest viewpoints , fedora is not stable with kde5.
