Hi,

I did an update the other night and since then the login page is blank with just the mouse cursor. Ihave scoured the forums and tried all sort of different things and still can't get it to work and just don't know where to go now.

I uninstalled all the Nvidia drives and now back on default nouveau

I tried to do kwin_x11 --replace but this just gives me the following error.

kwin_x11: FATAL ERROR while trying to open display.

I am literally left with a dead pc with no other means but to do a full reinstall and this just seems so extreme. Any help would be great.
