I've heard there is a good bit of work that goes into getting a fingerprint reader to properly work with KDE, and sddm, but I'm hoping it's a little easier with gdm instead.

I don't want the fingerprint reader I bought to login to Windows to go to waste on my linux install, and I prefer KDE over other environments.
