[ksysguardd] How to disable?

Tue Aug 24, 2010 5:41 pm
I check powertop to reduce energy usage. Ksysguardd(deamon for ksysguard) is biggest problem for my system, because it mostly causes wakeups.

I don't need ksysguard very often and don't need to check data logged by it.

obviously you could just kill the daemon and if/when you later run ksysguard it doesn't (in my test) restart the daemon (daemon is started with "ksysguardd -d").

If you are using any of the Plasma applets to monitor temperature, CPU usage, etc. then simply removing them will disable ksysguardd, unless KSysGuard itself is running.

Either of them will automatically start ksysguardd on startup if needed.

Ok, thanks. I'm using Bubblemon to check temperature of processor unit.
