I have been using freebsd for a while with KDE as the desktop, and usually when I install ports or packages I get instructions on how to do it by looking it up in freshports.org or somewhere where it specifically shows how to call the port or package from the command prompt of Freebsd shell. For example:

Code: Select all
To install the port: cd /usr/ports/misc/xfce4-appfinder/ && make install clean
To add the package: pkg_add -r xfce4-appfinder

Lately I have been looking on kde.org at some really cool applications but the applications section does not tell me how to install the package or port! For instance, checking out Kappfinder, I want to install that port. But the page showcasing it doesn't give any information on how to get it:

http://www.kde.org/applications/system/kappfinder/

and looking up kappfinder in freshports.org yields no results. So simply, how does one go about getting the ports/packages that are showcased in the KDE.org applications section? :<

kde.org provides distribution agnostic information on applications produced by the KDE Community at this time. Please see http://freebsd.kde.org for further information, which links to http://www.freebsd.org/ports/kde.html
