I have a big problem with my new installation Kubuntu 11.04 x86, Plasma desktop 4.6. I am new at Kubuntu, i jumped from Ubuntu, and this is my second intallation. With 10.10 i had no problem at all. With 11.04 evrything are very slow exclude chrome. I have to wait 5-8 seconds for a single window to open. My PC = P4 3.2Ghz, 2GB RAM and Nvidia 9500GT graphic card. Even i have opened a lot of app like chrome, firefox console and many windows CPU utilization in very low and RAM is 700MB. I also have disabled Desktop effects but i can not solve the problem. My Nvidia driver is 173.14.30 . Can anyone help me?

Have you got the latest NVidia driver for your card installed?

My nvidia driver version is 173.14.30. Do i have to download and install myself the new one from Nvidia's site? Can you give me a guide how to install?

I believe the needed instructions will be present on NVidia's website. Otherwise, consult your distributors forums - as they will know the best distribution specific way to update your NVidia drivers to the latest compatible version.

So you think that something is going wrong with Nvidia drivers. I 'll try to install the new drivers and i will inform you.
