when i try to run kwin_gles --replace i get

i get the windowdecorations but thats all..
i am using an environment variable

is it just the beta version of kubuntu ? should i wait and sit out the problem till it solves itself?

you cannot use kwin_gles with the proprietary NVIDIA drivers.

oh.. i must have overseen this fact... thank you.. so i'll give nouveau a try.. it is better with plymouth anyway.. nvidia blob looks awful at boottime
