Hello,
How can I stop KDE 4.8.2 from initiate a 'move' of the window, when clicking the inner window with the left mouse button? Important: I mean <Left-Click> I do not mean <ALT><Left-Click> or <META><Left-Click> Thank you very much for any advice Reto |

No matter which application, the behaviour is the same:
<left-click> in inactive window -> initiate 'move' Examples: System Settings click in the 'white' and the 'move' is initiated. Dolphin click in the 'grey' (there is plenty of it ) and the 'move' is initiated. MyPaint click somewhere 'grey' for example a miss-click while trying to turn the color-wheel ... and the 'move' is initiated. Maybe this gives another hint on my 'miss-configuration': on move: I get something like a target-cross with a rectangle. |

Feature of at least Oxygen and Bespin UI styles - not KWin related.
"oxygen-settings" (first tab) or "bespin config" (hacks) will allow you to configure this it should however only happen if you press, hold & move the cursor |

Thank you, THANK YOU!
Brilliant! Even with my bad hint on KWIN, YOU figured it out. I will tell everyone how quick and precise the KDE-Community is responding to even fuzzy questions! You all made my WEEK! Greetings to the great Team! Keep it up! Reto |
