How to disable auto popup?

Wed Jun 06, 2012 11:05 am
Hi everyone!

I'm new to this forum, and this is my first post. I have a question regarding a window opening automatically.

When I connect/disconnect an external display on the VGA port, the display configuration dialog window opens automatically. This is the same dialog that can be found under System Settings/Display and Monitor. I would like to disable this automatic behaviour, because I don't need it. Recently I wrote a shell script to configure my displays, which is triggered by an UDEV rule when an event happens on the VGA port.

Since I don't need the configuration dialog popping up anymore, how can I disable it?

Thanx for your answers!

Open System Settings > Startup & Shutdown > Service Manager. Uncheck "Display management change monitor".
