Hello, first, i'm new to the kde forums, so hi. Sorry if this is the wrong forum to post this in, i could not see a more appropriate place.

I really like the oxygen style and also the oxygen window decorations. I do not however like the oxygen window decoration buttons. I have looked at alternative window decorations available but none are what i'm after. I would like to know how to make a new window decoration theme or edit an existing window decoration theme. Is there a tutorial or documentation where i can learn how to do this?

Window decorations in a KDE Workspace are provided by KWin, so moved to the KWin forum.
The easiest way i'm aware of would be by creating an Aurorae decoration - I'll leave it up to the KWin developers to provide a detailed answer though (I think some changes may be coming in this area due to QML, not sure..)
