How to suggest a pre-existing desktop effect for inclusion?

Hi there,

In Kwin by default, there are a large number of desktop effects that I'm sure many people use (eg blur, sliding popups) and some that I suspect very few people use (eg explode ). At the same time, there are some excellent effects that I suspect would be far more widely useful, but aren't included such as David Edmundson's excellent Night Mode. As someone who works late at night often, and around sleeping kids, it's a real life saver... that I almost never discovered.

How do we actually make a formal request for a broadly useful, pre-existing, license compatible kwin effect to be included with Kwin by default?

xcalib -co 40 -a
to reset that (xcalib isn't exactly userfriendly ;-)
xcalib -c

nvidia-settings has a more human compatible interface for this, but you need an nvidia gpu

One does not require effects (best shader programs ;-) to alter the screen brightness, contrast or gamma - computers can do that (in hardware) since > 20 years
i feel old :'(

Only question is whether this should be in kwin (as the inversion) or in the monitor kcm
