KWIN + NVIDA = tearing

Wed Jan 23, 2013 8:02 am
Hi guys,
I have terrible video tearing and artifacts while moving windows around desktop.
I already tried enabling and disabling Vsync on NVIDIA settings and Settings->Desktop effects - different configurations of this and cannot get rid of the tearing.
I am using the driver from nvidia's site - 310.32 on Kubuntu 12.10 ( KDE Platform Version 4.9.5 ).

Can someone help me please!
Ty

P.S.
Configuration :
i5-3570k
Asrock z77 Extreme 4
Gigabyte GTX650 2GB
8GB RAM 1600
OCZ Vertex 4
DELL u2421m 1920x1200

Moved to KWin forum. Do you have a multi monitor configuration? Also, what Nvidia card are you using?

No i have only one monitor. There is no tearing while using Unity ... Only KDE ... Maybe my video drivers are the issue ?!?! I am using the nvidia latest ones.
