full screen command for game

Thu Apr 11, 2013 7:21 pm
Hello sorry for my bad english but i've got a question. Iḿ playing a game zero ballistics and every time when i open the game i have to make the window fullscreen by richt-click on the window and then choose advanced--Full screen. Can i use a script for this that i can put in a script file. Iǘe found already a solution to turn of the desktop effects:

qdbus org.kde.kwin /KWin org.kde.KWin.toggleCompositing

I hope there is a script what i can use for this problem.

Regards

Hi,

kwin has a feature to handle this things for you!

http://userbase.kde.org/KWin_Rules

With kwin rules you can do this easily, with few mouse clicks and without scripts. Have fun!

there's also "kstart" - a wrapper mostly operating on temporary kwin rules which will allow you to run applications fullscreen w/o persistent rules (ie "once")
