Specs:
KDE 4.8.5
Kwin 4.8.5
Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 64-bit

My usual setup is 5 virtual desktops (web browsing, voip and messaging, IRC, hardware temperature monitor, system monitor. The .desktop files I created for all the games I play on my PC point to scripts that open the game in workspace 6:

Code: Select all
#!/bin/bash
kstart --desktop 6 --activate --service /home/kobayashi/.local/share/applications/game.desktop

Now, when I'm not gaming, I don't want to Ctrl+Alt+Left/Right through my 5 workspaces plus 1 extra empty workspace. I would like to keep 5 virtual desktops whenever I am not gaming, 6 when I am. If I knew a terminal command to add a desktop and remove the last desktop, I can include those lines in my scripts to automate things.

Do such commands exist?
