Hello All
I'm trying to make a theme for kde using aurorae and I noticed it has button groups to put a background behind the buttons. I tried using an svg for this and labelling it buttongroup-right according to the info given on the kde tech site but it does not show at all. I was wondering how to make a button group image show or if this is possible at all? As it says in the info about this: Button Groups An Aurorae decoration may include elements to be painted behind the button groups. This is intended for cases when the buttons share a common background. it should be preferred over custom editing of each button as this will result in a bad visual experience for explicit spacersthe user changes the order of buttons. The following elements are supported: • buttongroup-left • buttongroup-left-inactive • buttongroup-right • buttongroup-right-inactive or if If the inactive element is not provided, the element for active is used for the inactive decoration, too. Left and right are independent and there is no fallback to the other element. For decorationsleft or right window side the meaning becomes top and bottom. So it is supposed to show a common background I just can't figure out how to make it show for some reason. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. Sam |

I think that one of the Appow Aurorae themes use button groups : http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/Appows+for+Aurorae?content=162957
You can see how they did it by looking the sources (on my system they are in ~/.kde4/share/apps/aurorae/themes/ ). |

Old topic here, I know, but I did the Appows themes and could not get button groups working, either. I left the elements in by accident. What you see is actually just part of the individual buttons, themselves. Correct me if I'm wrong, but It may be that the functionality for doing this has stopped working.
