Hello all,
I hope I'm not writing in the wrong place. I come from Gnome (Shell, Unity...) and there is a feature I really like that I cannot find in KDE. It is the possibility to change between instances of the same application from the application switcher. I mean, when I use Alt + Tab in KDE, I can either move though ALL the windows of all the applications (cluttered!), or I can choose to be presented with only one instance for every application. If I want to choose between the instances, then, I have to use Alt + ' once I've selected the right one. What I miss is an Alt + Tab which presents only the open applications, instead of the windows, and then from there (with the arrows, for example) allows to cycle through all the open instances of a single application. Is there something like this in KDE that I'm not finding? Thank you, Giovanni |

what gets most close is to use Ctrl+F7 which opens all windows of the currently active application. So alt+tab to your application, then ctrl+f7 to switch between windows of that application.

Thanks. Complicated, though... does the fact that it is indicated as a bug mean that somebody plans to add this feature?

I think that's rather unlikely. |

Look closer.
It's indicated as "wishlist", not as bug :-P Personally I consider the tabbox a relict UI element (inferior to present windows) but do not see why online switching of modes should not be possible (but for 5.1 at best) |
