Hi,

after installing a task switcher theme ("present windows clone"), the task switcher is broken.
Everytime I switch tasks, the following message appears:

The Window Switcher installation is broken, ressources are missing.

Also switching back to a default theme (e.g. "Compact") does not solve this.

Any suggestions are very welcome.

Thank you for your help and patience. The affected version is 5.2.2-1, the current one obtained from the arch linux repositories.

I have even more updates: The problem vanished after 2 restarts of the complete machine (I logged on and off several times each boot).
In an effort to recreate the issue, I did the same as above. The error occured again, but could this time be resolved by switching back to a default theme.

In case more information are needed, I gladly offer my assistance; good thing is, my system now works as expected.

I realize this was a while ago but did you ever figure out what was causing this? I'm having the same issue you described. Occasionally it'll start working again for a while, sometimes I can fix it with changing some settings, other times I can't (and it will remain broken for 1 or 2 reboots then magically re-work again).

In all cases the basic window switching functionality does work (simply showing each window while a light shroud covers the rest of the windows).

I'm seeing this currently in KDE 5.8.90, Linux Kernel 4.8.4, KDE neon. Although I'm running latest Kernel, I've just done that recently - I believe I was running the one included with Neon and saw this issue then, too. As jamb said, I do also have various third-party window switchers installed, including the "Present Windows Clone" one that he has (but not active).
