I recently upgraded from a previous 5.* plasma version to plasma 5.1.1 using omgubuntu's instructions http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2015/08/plas ... w-features :

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

Following the upgrade and reboot:
- I was exepcting the upgrade to take me to 5.4.* it appears I am on 5.1.1
- I have repaint issues where some parts of the application are not painted correctly after some input.

e.g. After cycling through tabs in my browser the content part of the browser lags to update http://i.snag.gy/wRNx7.jpg. After clicking some where or moving somewhere the paint kicks in and the tabs look as they should.

please paste /var/log/Xorg.0.log and the outputs of "qdbus org.kde.KWin /KWin supportInformation" and glxinfo somewhere.
