Hello guys.
I've being using KDE since the the 3er version, but for a time i switched to gnome 2 + compiz. There was a feature that I really loved, and, at least for me, was a very productive trick. With compiz I was able to trigger the cube pressing ctrl+alt, that way my desktop turned into the cube quick and smooth (zooming away), and with my right hand, i could just grab it and switch to another virtual desktop. Just releasing ctrl+alt made the cube zoom in to get my desktop back. This way, i could quickly change to another virtual desktop with a mouse movement without moving my hand away from it in a sec, and get a great feeling of interaction (like when you swipe right or left on your tablet). Right now i tried using mouse gestures, adding a mouse key to change to another virtual desktop, and actually what i'm using is ctrl+alt+cursor[direction] to change with the sliding animation, but i miss that functionality. I searched around google, twitter... but couldn't find how to do it the same way. Do you know if there's a way to get it done with KWIN? I think that using unity in ubuntu could be achieved, but didn't try it either (i'm a KDE 5 user and i definitely don't want to use any other desktop). Thank you very much in advance. |

That's more like a limitation of KDE input actions. It's not supported atm. but supposed to work on wayland.
