Hi guys. I have intel card and "Reuse screen content" was always broken in KDE4 in Kubuntu with intel drivers (so I used "full screen repaints").

Now I use Manjaro with latest drivers (with DRI3) and plasma 5 , and it seems that "reuse screen content" works fine. Can anyone confirm this?

And is using "reuse screen content" more efficient in tearing prevention than "full screen repaints"?

DO NOT USE THAT OPTION!

Technically, this is meanwile close to irrelevant, because the intel driver also supports the buffer_age extension and usually you'll never leave that path. If however for any reason there should be no old buffer, that option will read from the frontbuffer - what kicks all mesa drivers into some "extraslow, please" mode.

You can safely pick full scene repaints w/o relevant overhead - w/ buffer_age support being more or less omnipresent, the option is scheduled for removal anyway.
