Hello,
I have a nvidia GT 320M graphic card on my laptop. GNOME and Xfce desktops run smoothly using the "nouveau" open-source driver. Unfortunately, this is not the case of Plasma : I get an annoying tearing effect, for example when scrolling down a page or when moving windows. I think this must be a VSync issue, since Xfce has the same problem unless I check an "enable VSync" box in its settings. Furthermore, I found out that when using the nvidia proprietary driver, the problem could be solved by altering the VSync settings in the Plasma control panel. But I cannot make Plasma work properly with nouveau. What should I do ? There is certainly something to do, since GNOME and Xfce work properly... Thank you P.S. I tried it on Chakra 2015.11 "Fermi", Plasma version 5.4.2 |

run "kcmshell5 kwincompositing" and set "tearing prevention" to "full scene repaints" - also ensure that you're not using the xrender backend.

Thanks for replying. In fact, upgrading from Plasma 5.4 to 5.5 solved the problem
