I'm having one rather specific issue with Kwin/compositor settings. I use Blender primarily for my business, but using it on Kubuntu produced a really jittery motion when using the program on KDE. In other words, when I "float" around an object, the viewscreen studders and the motion is jerky. I've tried to change every setting and configuration in the compositor settings, but to no avail. Running Blender in GNOME has an almost perfection movement motion in the viewscreen.
I really like KDE, and it's rough that such a specifically small issue is hindering me from using it as my primary desktop. Any help in possibly resolving this would be appreciated. My set-up: Using Nvidia proprietary drivers Issue is while using KDE Plasma 5.5 Blender is not from Ubuntu software repositories; rather the blender.org website as a stand-alone binary package Thanks so much, - JRD

Have you looked the .xsession-errors and started the Blender from the terminal ( maybe with the debug options) to get possible error/warning messages ?

@Rog131, sorry for the late reply. Yes sir, running Blender from the terminal shows no errors, and .xsession-errors doesn't seem to show any issues.
Strafing left and right in the virtual Blender scene is seamless in Gnome, but I've tested in Kubuntu with both stock 5.5 Plasma and 5.6 Plasma via the kubuntu-backports ppa. Same thing. Not sure if there are any other Blender users, here, but if so, does anyone else have this issue?

Two options:
* Deactivate compositor (alt+shift+F12) * Try out Neon |
