Hi there,
my attempt is to automatically set a position for a software on different monitors. I was able to manage defining a kwin window rule to reach exactly what I am trying to do. However just when applying it manually. My issue is that the software does have a login and initially just having a name in the title. After the login, the window caption is changed to the login and depending on this I want to decide on which monitor to show it. So I am searching for one of the following solutions: 1) Is it possible to evaluate the windows title not just at the beginning, but also during runtime. So it does check for a specific title not just once, but regulary and if it finds a hit, applying the rule to it. If this would be possible it would be my favourized approach. 2) If this is not possible, is it possible to apply a kwin rule manually by command line or kde shortcuts? This might allow me to press a key after the login and applying the rule to sort out the windows correctly. I can apply this manually, but I would prefer having a shortcut to evaluate the window rules. Any ideas to solve this? |

It's necroposting but I think it's still very nice feature to have if it exists
