Deprioritise focus of pinned window

Sun Nov 13, 2016 12:38 am
I use virtual desktops and two screens. Sometimes, on my secondary screen, I'll pin a window to all desktops. However, this has the side effect of pushing focus of this window to the front, in all virtual desktops.

For example, I have window A on desktop A, window B on desktop B, etc. I then pin window B to all desktops. I switch back to desktop A, and now window B is in front, and has focus. All of my windows in all of my desktops have been displaced in the visual stack and focus stack.

Ideally, I'd want window B to not automatically have focus in all desktops. Is there a way to do this?

(I'm not so worried about window B moving to the front of the visual stack, because it's generally on a separate screen. However, I could always use "Keep below others" if needed. The altered focus is also more of an issue with two screens, because it's not immediately obvious which maximised window has focus.)
