Hi!
I've been experiencing a irregular (probably kwin desktop effects related) bug that i haven't reported even though it has been present for quite a while. It's most frequently triggered by starting Thunderbird (currently on version 45.7.1). What happens: 1. The screen locks up for a few seconds. Cannot move the mouse. 2. Some parts of Plasma becomes slow such as the application launcher. 3. The settings menu for desktop effects freezes and becomes totally unresponsive. See output from kwin_x11 --replace below:
I've tried to disable different desktop effects, but the bug is still present. How can i pinpoint this further? |

I was having the same problem with KDE 5.10. The solution is actually easy. They might have meddled with file naming in recent kwin-data package.
All you need to do is create a symlink to the required file.
If required, do also this
