I have a virgin installation of windows7 Pro 64bit on my laptop. I have tried to download and install kdenlive but when I run it windows says that a problem has stopped the software running and that windows will shut it down. It doesn't say what the issue is. I very carefully followed the steps on the download page, downloaded and extracted the files from the 7z folder. I downloaded and extracted the ffmpeg folder as instructed and copied the bin and presets folders into the kdenlive-windows folder. ran it once and it stopped, tried to run it again (couldn't find it in task manager and tried a reboot - I am aware of this bug now though) still nothing.
Any suggestions (other than running Linux )
