Minimum window size?

Thu Feb 22, 2018 3:12 pm
Hi there,

I'm using a 5K monitor, width the scaling of KDE set to factor 2. Most works very well, but new windows are sometimes so small that I need to manually enlarge them before they become usable. (A good example is KMail's settings dialog box -> I need to resize it to twice its original size.)

Is there any setting I can try to change? I tried creating a new window rule for minimum width/height (applicable to "Normal Windows" & "Dialog Windows"), but that does not seem to work...

Thanks!

If by scaling... I'm assuming that you're using the Display/Monitor scale display option?
Have you tried using the font DPI option (Settings>Fonts)?
Eg. I changed my default 96 dpi to 144
ie. 96 + (96/2)
you could as easily use 96 + 96 = 192

I use this without setting a display scale factor, ie. the default remains 1
