I'm running KDE with GTX1050. Drivers : 390-48-1 (the latest), on a 4.16.4-1 Kernel.

I always have this issue using compositing with openGL 2.0 or 3.1. When I launch a program (like Atom text Editor, Vivaldi browser), the taskbar is blinking and I have 1/3 chance to see Kwin crash with a pop up who says : Desktop effect were restarted due to a graphic resets. When this is happening, my taskbar just disappear, and all the quick launch icons are mixed in the taskbar. The clock freezes too. The problem is solved if I switch on XRender.

There is a way to fix this using openGL ?
