Hello,

I recently found a useful tip how to remove window borders when they are maximized.
It can be done by editing .kwinrc file in /userDir/.config/ in [Window] section.

Code: Select all
[Window]
BorderlessMaximizedWindows=True

However above solution works for me only during the current session. After relogin the value of above is being change to 'False'.
So is my question, what is being responsible for overwriting this file? And whats the way to keep it after relogin?

The file is loaded into memory, and saved back to disk at logout. You can kill kwin, edit, and restart kwin, but here is an easier way:
Edit the file
then run
Code: Select all
qdbus org.kde.KWin /KWin reconfigure
