Hi everyone,

I've got a weird problem. I use Manjaro Linux, and am on the latest Plasma 5.13. For a long while now, I have the setting
Code: Select all
BorderlessMaximizedWindows=true
set in my kwinrc. Since the 5.13 upgrade (not sure which point release), on each reboot (probably login/logout), something automatically sets it back to false.

Has anybody else seen this behavior? Is this expected? I use global menus, and I want no borders on my maximized windows so I can take advantage of all available screen real estate.

Thanks for your help!

Are you using Latte Dock? It has a new setting that interferes (I had this problem, too)....
https://github.com/psifidotos/Latte-Dock/wiki/Tips-&-Tricks#q-can-i-have-different-borderlessmaximized-windows-option-between-different-layouts
Making sure my Latte Dock layout had 'Borderless' checked fixed the problem :)

I installed arch linux on my box, and I have the same problem, after a reboot this setting gets reseted. I tried to edit kwinrc, it also gets overwriten after reboot. I also tried the latte dock layout option, it didn't fix it either. I did a fresh install today but it did not help.

Looks like it was Latte doing it; thank you! Instructions at link worked.

I searched for hours, I couldn't find the location of the settings....

and the file's modification didn't work either...
