Just wanted to raise this issue and question on howto resolve the kwin_x11 issue with warthunder (aces) game under KDE.

The problem is where you launch the game and it causes a black screen but only when its FOCUSED, if I move my mouse off screen (in windowed mode for example) It all renders just fine, click on warthunder again and it goes black. Now I understand this is probably a issue that Gaijin/Warthunder can fix but so far they have not had any luck.

Things I have done to resolve this in past was kill kwin_x11 before launching the game, and recently I was able to get it working fine with compiz composer via compiz --replace, however its got other minor bugs and I rather not use compiz just yet.

Does anyone know of some things I can try? I have tried messing with the window rules and such but without much luck.

PS. This problem I believe happens on AMD and NVIDIA cards, I have a 1080ti for reference.
