On Linux Mint 18.3, with whichever KDE is current in their repos.
After the recent Thunderbird update to v. 60, FireTray Extension no longer worked, so I changed to "MinimizeToTray Reanimated" & it doesn't provide a 'Start Minimized In Tray' option the previous FireTray did. So in my infinite wisdom, I set the KDE Special Window/Application settings [0],[1] to 'Apply Initially' > 'Minimized' for the Thunderbird application. Problem with that now is no matter what I do the window won't appear. Stays in the tray when it should restore. I didn't see anywhere that these type of settings are available to edit via 'System Settings', but I imagine there's a text file I can edit somewhere- just don't know where to look. Help is appreciated. Thanks in advance. [0] https://files.catbox.moe/ijrxkm.png [1] https://files.catbox.moe/vrmvpy.png |

Solved by starting Thunderbird in safe mode without any addons enabled:
Then I was able to disable the problematic "Special Window/Application Settings" from the titlebar's context menu. Exited & restarted & now all is well. ...Still won't start in the tray, but better than not being able to see the window at all. |
