Hi,
I am a newbie in Linux. And currently exploring a switch to Linux for my development purposes and trying out various desktops. Could someone please explain to me how to make window tiling behaviour similar to Windows. I know that it is already much alike but with couple nuances. If I click `super + left |right` it works perfectly but If I try to do the same with `super + up|down` when the window already tiled to the half of the screen, it simply shifts vertical half position to horizontal half position, rather than snapping window to the quarter left of the screen. Basically, I am looking for behaviour when clicking `super + up|down` to snap window in these directions: top left quarter=> left vertical half => bottom left quarter <=left vertical half <= top left quarter. Thank you in advance. |

Well, for quarter-tiling, there are additional shortcuts you can set in System Settings -> Shortcuts -> Global Shortcuts -> System Settings, for "Quarter Tile Window to the ...". It would seem logical to use Super+Home, End, PageUp and PageDown for Top Left, Bottom Left, Top Right and Bottom Right respectively; however by default Super+ PageUp and PageDown are already bound to Maximize and Minimize.
You might also check out the Kwin Scripts in the Kde Store to see if any of the tiling scripts behave the way you want. Of note the Quick Tile 2 script was designed to provide behavior similar to Windows 10.
