Why kde on nvidia has tearing where on amd gpus it doesn't ?
Right now i'm having an amd graphics card is working perfect ,
but on an nvidia gpu kde has tearing and i have to pass some parameters on nvidia configuration file
to stop tearing but this has negative effect on 3d gaming performance.
I would like to eliminate this terrible thing called tearing , its 2019.

maybe you do not use default video acceleration on plasma desktop. (Somewhere in settings should say OpenGL on acceleration)
I have an Nvidia Quadro K4000 and run perfectly on KDE regarding screen tearing and video acceleration.
On this system I use Ubuntu Mate with Compiz Window Manager as default Marco Window manager have screen tearing, but I test also KDE Plasma to compare desktop speed, not intend it to install it, I prefer Ubuntu Mate.
