Hi there, an odd bug under kubuntu 20.04, I can't resize tiled windows which touch my top panel.
I set my workspace like ubuntu, a panel on the left holding the apps' shortcuts and a top panel with the system tray and the global menu. I use quarter tiling. So long as the tiled window title-bar touches the top panel, I can't resize my window horizontally. However, vertically, it works fine. To be accurate, horizontal resize only works towards the outer edge: try to picture a window tiled to the top-right corner or to the right half of the screen. Dragging the window left border towards the left end of the screen works, but not dragging it to the right side of the screen to reduce the window size. Same behaviour when I enable window snapping to resize 2 windows together. However, when windows are tiled in the bottom corners, no problem whatsoever. I didn't experience this bug in previous versions of kubuntu. Any idea where to look to resolve this issue? By the way, holding Alt+left click works fine to resize all windows. |

Since you are using a Beta version I suggest you report this in the beta testing of Kubuntu, this forum is the wrong place for this; http://iso.qa.ubuntu.com/qatracker/mile ... 408/builds
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |
