Congrat's, KDE on Wayland seems to work much better now. I was just experimenting with it on OpenSUSE Tumbleweed 20201030, "Full-wayland", kwin5-5.20.2, Nvidia proprietary driver.
When running Kwin-wayland the System Settings -> Display and Monitor -> Display Configuration lacks any way to specify the primary monitor. Is there a config file where the wayland primary monitor can be set? Or is there at least a way to force the Default Panel onto a particular monitor? By using Window Manager Kwin Scripts or Rules perhaps? |

Hi,
If I believe this reddit thread https://www.reddit.com/r/kde/comments/a ... o_i_set_a/ they remove this setting by design. I don't see how Plasma is usable in a muti-screen setup without this option, especially with a laptop where monitors are plugged in and out. Well, Plasma is often crashing when I plug monitors in and out anyway... A lot of improvements on the Plasma Wayland side, but it seems we are not quite there yet. |

I asked the same question on the OpenSUSE forums. I got a reply with a solution to forcing the Panel onto a specific monitor. See:

Great news. Every now and then I give KDE Wayland (on nvidia proprietary driver) a try, and it is getting better. |
