Extend monitor to left without moving all windows over?

Hey fellow KDE users,

I have a dual monitor setup, with the right monitor being my primary monitor. For my workflow I tend to disable the left monitor if I don't need it for improved focus.

When I enable it though by extending to the left, all my windows from the primary monitor get moved over to the left. That includes the Application Dashboard. It's a bit grating to pull the ones I want on my main monitor back from the second one. I only use one panel, that luckily stays on the main monitor though as it should.

I wonder if it's because of annoyances with my proprietary nvidia driver. I did save my main monitor setup to xorg.conf through nvidia-settings to see if that would fix it, but nope.

Any ideas? Maybe some nifty KWin magic can stop everything from moving left upon monitor change?

Here's my system info:
    Operating System: Kubuntu 20.04
    KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.5
    KDE Frameworks Version: 5.68.0
    Qt Version: 5.12.8
    Kernel Version: 5.4.0-58-generic
    OS Type: 64-bit
    Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i5-4590 CPU @ 3.30GHz
    Memory: 15.6 GiB of RAM
Video card: Nvidia GTX 960 2GB
    Video card driver: nvidia 450.80.02

Thanks in advance!
