Dear all,
I experience a weird behaviour when setting a keyboard shortcut to send windows to a numbered desktop, e.g. sending the focussed window to desktop number 2/3/4/etc. Indeed, when doing so, the window would indeed be sent to the specified desktop, but the view would not follow towards this desktop and remain in the original one, which is a poor user experience in my opinion. The strange thing is that when I set a keyboard shortcut to move a windows towards an adjacent desktop (e.g. move window to next/previous desktop), the view does indeed follow the window as expected. For this reason, since the behaviour is not consistent between the two situations, I believe this is not a design choice but a sad negligence issue. Can you try to reproduce? I absolutely need to get that fixed. Thanks! |

Please file a feature request on https://bugs.kde.org for the product KWin
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |
