By enabling the desktop effect at:
Tools > Desktop Effects > Show FPS

A window appears in the top right corner of the screen that appears to indicate KWin's desktop performance is at 72FPS, which is exactly half of my actual refresh rate of 144Hz. The effect also appears to cap out at 100. I am aware that the effect says "this effect is not a benchmark" below it, but I am able to tell that KWin is not running at the full refresh rate as I drag windows around the screen; something seems not right. Does anyone have any ideas as to what might be causing this? Thank you.
