Hey so what I want to happen is when I go to desktop and then use Alt + Tab to select a window I just want that single window to pop up. What currently happens is all my windows pop up, with the one that i selected in the foreground. I've dug around in the settings but I haven't seen anything that will do what I want. Have I missed it or is this even possible?

Well, you could enable minimize all. It's like "show desktop" but only reopens a selected window. Edit: just reread your post. Yeah, this is not what you asked. My bad.
