I find switching between tasks using 'Present Windows' contextual search rather convenient but it needs some toggle (like the one in KRunner) to disable retaining of the last search in text box or even make it a default behavior: after the desired window is found and opened there is no reason to keep the partial search string in the buffer practically acting as a filter when invoking 'Toggle Present Windows' the next time. Very annoying. Maybe I can use some workaround for now? Like writing some script that would purge the text buffer after pressing enter / selecting the desired window?

update: fixed in the latest version of plasma 5.25.2
