Hello, I'm new to this stuff so please go easy on me.
I have noticed that after the 5.25 Plasma update, the 'present windows' effect, which is normally activated by the top left screen edge, has been completely revamped. Put simply, I really really don't like it and I want the beautiful, polished, butter smooth animations from 5.24 back. I would like to request assistance with finding the exact commit responsible for changing this, and reverting it back to the 5.24 version of the effect, while still allowing me to update the system otherwise. I am running Garuda Linux currently on a snapshot of Plasma 5.24. Any help is greatly appreciated. |

Hello there,
You could have made it easier for anyone who'd want to help you by describing your problem a bit more clearly. So let me ask you some questions first: - Does the “Present windows” get activated when you move your mouse to the screen edge? - Is the animation when switching to the “Present windows” shown as it used to, or perhaps it is slow and stutters? - What is your Graphics Card (Intel, AMD, Nvidia?) and Graphics Platform (X11 or Wayland, see in the “Info Center” on your system)? I think it would be a lot easier to understand the problem you're dealing with if you could provide some screen recording or screenshot. |
